Artist Statement
The work presented is comprised of intimate human body portraiture, revealing its transformative nature. A ritual of connection, healing, and acceptance occurs between 2 people where the artist’s hands and the subject’s body become paintbrushes. Imprints created by the cliché verre process make fluid abstracted forms, allowing the canvas of the skin to tell a new narrative that speaks to the themes of identity, intimacy, self-acceptance, and representation.
