This is part of a series by Jordan T. Robinson’s “Encounter series. The small body of work is a reflection and response to the HIV pandemic as well as the stigmatization of infections in any pandemic.

This series meditates on the interactions and simple gestures, that we take for granted, being opportunities for infections to transfer. Whether it is a handshake or holding hands, platonic or intimate, the effort to connect with others leaves us to be vulnerable.
$100 of each sale will go towards Visual AIDS, an organization that utilizes art to fight AIDS by provoking dialogue, supporting HIV+ artists, and preserving a legacy, because AIDS is not over.
This series within Encounters is a meditation on the idea of radical acceptance. Often there is stigma about infected people and that stigmatization can lead to isolation, exclusion, and discrimination.

This series meditates on the universal theme that parallels with all the infections: the risks we take for connection to one another. Whether it is intimate, platonic, familial, or social we constantly put ourselves at risk for the reward of connection..
