Curatorial Assistant

Duties

Interns in this position will perform the following: 

  • Plan and conduct research regarding the exhibition, and/or other productions 

  • Preparing labels and other design elements, installations, de-installations, gallery maintenance, research, and other responsibilities as necessary. 

  • Part of the team that develops, plans, organizes and schedules multiyear exhibition program reflective of the museums focus including traveling exhibitions. 

  • Help engage in research and development of exhibitions, including proposals, catalogues, contracts, purchase orders, development of archive files, etc. 

  • Prepares and presents public lectures, programs and gallery talks and participates in press activities related to exhibitions. 

  • Helps develops, writes and submits grant proposals and applications, and is aware of new sources of grants. 

Requirements

Ideal candidates MUST:

  • Currently be enrolled in a college or university 

  • Be able and willing to work remotely and in person. 

  • Proficient communication skills. 

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office ( specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.) 

  • Capable of setting S.M.A.R.T. Goals. 

 

It is preferred that the candidate:

  • Have completed at least one class or course that is Art History-related. 

 
Graphic Design

Graphic Designer

Duties

Interns in this position will perform the following:

  • Promote the brand's vision and mission by creating and updating design concepts. 

  • Support branding and promotional initiatives for print and digital material, designing art for: 

    • Online ads for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram 

    • Images for Press releases 

    • Graphics and Assets for the Website 

    • Graphics and Assets for Social Media 

    • Graphics and Assets for the Newsletter 

    • Graphics and Assets for Business Cards 

    • Graphics and Assets for Client Projects 

  • Help develop JTR Presents' new logo and Graphic assets and applications. 

  • Review type, text, and messaging of all designs to ensure continuity, clarity, and legibility.  

  • Help in the design process of: Developing a design brief, Creating moodboards and stylescapes, making Mockups, and Presentation materials. 

Requirements

Interns MUST:

  • Have knowledge and familiarity of Adobe Creative Cloud software. 

  • Understanding of Elements and Principles of Design, which should be demonstrated through portfolio. 

  • Portfolio, Resume/CV, and Cover letter. 

  • Be enrolled into a college or university. 

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher) 

  • Proficient communication skills. 

  • Capable of setting S.M.A.R.T. Goals.

  • Has some familiarity of CRM and CRM systems. 

 

Interns in this position will perform the following: 

  • Review, with the Graphic Design intern, all marketing materials, including: 

    • Text and copyright used for direct mail. 

    • Text and copyright used on website. 

    • Text and copyright used on social media platforms. 

    • Text and copyright used for newsletters. 

    • Text and copyright used for personal invitations. 

    • Text and copyright used for donor thank you letters. 

    • Text and copyright used for requests for fiscal sponsorship. 

  • Review, critique, and improve content on Brand website and social media platforms regarding fiscal sponsorships, donations, and donor registration. 

  • Plan, create, and manage Newsletters to donors, prospect donors, and those who donated.

  • Review, with the Graphic Design intern, all marketing materials, including: 

    • Text and copyright used in advertising. 

    • Text and copyright used on website. 

    • Text and copyright used on social media platforms. 

    • Text and copyright used for newsletters and direct mail. 

  • Help develop and execute an editorial calendar. 

  • Manage and create content for social media platforms based on editorial calendar. 

  • Review, critique, and improve content on Brand website and social media platforms. 

  • Plan, create, and manage Newsletters.

Interns in this position will perform the following: 

  • Scan and document selected books, text, and other articles.

  • Help strategize the protocol and procedure to protecting digital and printed assets.

  • Develop an easy navigation to access information and other materials through the use of resources the brand offers.

  • Review, critique, and improve content on Brand's current methods of storing information. 

  • Develop "easy to access" navigation to assets for other teammates in different departments.
