Founder & Curator, Jordan T. Robinson, is collaborating with SOZO Gallery, Studio 229 on Brevard, and three local & talents in an exhibition that commemorates the historic neighborhood of Brooklyn in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The exhibition will open to the public on October 9th, 2020 with a reception from 5:30pm to about pm. Robinson was invited by SOZO Gallery’s founder and owner, Hannah Blanton. In this collaboration, he has met with owners of Studio 229 on Brevard, Monique and Kevin Douglas who are all working together to pull this exhibition off. To celebrate the neighborhood’s 100th anniversary since its inception, they wanted to do an exhibition featuring local artists who happen to be black or African-American. Artwork will be for sale and food, drink, and refreshments will be provided. To reserve, or inquire, you can contact the SOZO gallery for more information.

This will be a warm-up to the upcoming exhibition we have coming in November. To learn more about our upcoming exhibition, visit the Transparency Project.
