Bio
Holliday is a multi disciplinary artist with a mission for planetary rejuvenation. His focus on regenerative measures through textiles, donated, and leftover materials is a confirmation to a paradigm shift. Through his work, Gordon is constantly searching for ways to solve problems within the garment life cycle. By changing the pattern society has designed opens the floor to access new positions on the topic sustainability.
The understanding comes from the abundance the earth provides to life through the ecosystem. By closing the linear gap of waste and keeping the materials out of landfills aligns human beings to the energetic exchange of the global earth. Holliday's impact is to take what we call trash into the transformation process, and then lead viewers to endless possibilities. In a society fed on overconsumption, capitalistic behaviors, and bio chemical warfare Gordon Holliday's work provokes the very systemic behavior that has challenged modern day humans. Holiday addresses this by running his own online shop, ROOLE (Rule Over Our Life Everyday), where he sells hand-crafted upcycled products.
While his latest collection incorporates Japanese inspiration, he connects the dots by grounding his work in a streetwear aesthetic and then pulls elements from Japanese culture. Through his work, Gordon is constantly searching for ways to solve problems within the garment life cycle.
